Anticipating the February 28, 2025 retirement of Opal Hibbs, current Board Secretary, Tina Freeman has accepted the position of Executive Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent and Board Secretary. It is the Superintendent's and Board's desire that Tina have the opportunity to train with Opal beginning October 7. In order to give Tina the authority to perform the duties of the Board Secretary position, the Board will appoint Tina Freeman as an "Alternate Board Secretary" for the period of October 7, 2024 thru February 28, 2025 and "Board Secretary" effective March 1, 2025. (It should be noted that Jo Ann Blakely will also remain an Alternate Board Secretary.)
