The purpose of our elementary physical education curriculum review was to review, revise curriculum to align with Missouri Learning Standards. A team of K-5 elementary physical education teachers and instructional coaches worked together to review alignment to standards, make changes to the scope and sequence, and add lessons and engaging experiences to each grade level curriculum. Full implementation of the updated K-5 Physical Education curriculum will occur in the 2024-2025 school year.
