AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) is a structured, future ready preparatory system focusing on school wide practices, professional development, and student courses. AVID fosters best practice academic and social emotional skills in the classroom to prepare students for college and career readiness. AVID provides direct support for first-generation college goers, grades K-12. It is a school-wide approach used to enhance the rigor within the Park Hill School District's curriculum. A critical component of AVID is ongoing professional learning for teachers and administrators. Research has shown where AVID has been implemented with fidelity, students have taken more rigorous coursework and have increased the number of students who attend post-secondary educational institutions.
The attached document reflects the AVID renewal contract for elementary, middle and high school building licenses, as well as fees for professional development for middle and elementary schools being added for the 2025-2026 school year.
