In preparation for each legislative session, the Cooperating School District of Greater Kansas City (CSDGKC) works collaboratively with their member school districts to develop legislative priorities and positions. For the 2024 Legislative Session, the CSDGKC has identified eight (8) key legislative priorities as the most important issues facing public education in Missouri. In addition, position statements are clearly articulated related to ongoing legislative issues to provide local school districts guidance when speaking to state legislators about upcoming legislation and potential actions that could impact K-12 public schools and/or local control. All legislative key priorities and position statements are reviewed annually and represent the ongoing foundational position of member schools in support of K-12 public education in Missouri. The Superintendent from each CSDGKC member school serves as the district’s representative on the legislative committee.
