Provide Background Details and Rationale:

During the 2017-2018 school year Park Hill School District replaced multiple testing platforms with the single NWEA MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) assessment. This change resulted in a reduction of time testing while also reducing cost. This single assessment also provides a continuity in scoring from Kindergarten through 9th grade and nationally normed scores are available the day following testing. Park Hill has also adopted NWEA Reading Fluency to further support classroom educators support students phonemic development along with NWE Reading Fluency being a dyslexia screener. NWEA Reading Fluency will be used in grades K-3 as a replacement to Fountas and Pinnell assessments.
