This proposal, if approved, will provide supplemental transportation services for multiple programs. Examples are Professional Studies, McKinney-Vento, Shuttle services and other programs where our regular school bus provider is unable to accommodate. This service should provide upgraded service to our customers currently using taxi cabs, district staff as drivers and other forms of supplemental transportation.
District staff received 5 responses to the RFP. Four of the five did not meet the basic qualification that they must own the vehicles used to transport Park Hill School District students. The recommended contractor met all qualifications.
District staff will work with District counsel to develop the contract with the recommended provider. District staff ask that the Board authorize the Superintendent or his designee to approve the contract at a later date.

Provide Funding Source and Estimated Cost:

Funding will be provided from the 2024-2025 Transportation Budget. The estimated annual cost will be $1,552,950.

Recommendation:

It will be recommended at the May 9, 2024 Regular meeting that the Park Hill Board of Education approve bid for Supplemental Transportation, as presented, and authorize the Superintendent or Designee to execute contract at a later date.
