Provide Background Details and Rationale: A quality opening day library collection is needed for Walden Middle School for the 2019-2020 school year. Follett School Solutions provides a large quality catalog of books, has proven delivery turn-times and percent fill rates, and seamless integration of records. Both vendors provided a book list for an opening day library collection; however, Follett School Solutions included materials which align with the PHSD curriculum and one which can be further customized. Follett School Solutions, Inc. provides a level of expertise in creating new library collections that meet the needs of students and teachers, as well as providing New School services to support the needs of the Library Media Specialists. Follett sought additional information from Park Hill School District’s Library Media Specialists so their team of expert bibliographers and librarians could develop a customized collection list to align with Park Hill School District curriculum and student interest. Follett is also the largest provider of library materials in the United States and has a broad catalog from which to select and have proven delivery turn-times and percent fill rates. They currently support PHSD’s Destiny® Library Manager™ software making records integration seamless. Follett opens more new schools than all other vendors combined because of their team of experts, the quality of products and services, and the level of personalization. New School services include a dedicated New School Coordinator to help guide the district through the entire process, convenient processing options, including genrefication, so the books are organized exactly as requested, pricing guarantees, and provide a shelving and clean-up team to unpack, shelve and remove packing debris.
