Instructional Vision Update - Jan 2019.pdf
Provide Background Details and Rationale: A committee of teachers and administrators have been working to outline a clearly articulated vision for the future of teaching and learning in Park Hill. This work supports a CSIP action item under goal 1 developed by the academic focus area team. The purpose of this work is to identify core instructional initiatives needed to ensure that Park Hill students graduate ready for college, career, and life. During a meeting over the summer, the newly constituted instructional vision team worked to identify essential traits of graduates that would ensure their readiness. This work has been refined into a draft Graduate Profile that will discussed as a part of this presentation. Given this Graduate Profile as the vision for graduates, the team is studying current practices, instructional research, and emerging best practices to develop a model of instruction to guide curriculum development, professional development, and instructional improvement.
